Props – a set of items required for performances in the theater, during film or photography, drawing, modeling from nature.
Props are often called both genuine and fake objects, however, the term props is correctly used only in relation to genuine things, and not to artificial ones.
Props are staffage, an auxiliary detail that plays a secondary role and is used in order to create the necessary background, atmosphere. Props may include various accessories (umbrella, cane, etc.) that complement the stage costume of the actor, small household items.
